StudioThreeFive is the culmination of a decade of my work with small business and non profit clients.

The name “3/5” comes from my Human Design profile: the "3" line, known as the martyr, and the "5" line, the heretic.

The “3” line is a nod to my early years in the business. I got my first camera in 2016 and began working with clients the following year. For years, experimentation, iterating, reiterating, and learning from mistakes were core to my process. On every new project I tried new creative tactics. I worked with businesses in dozens of industries. I figured it out as I went. I learned that high-quality, story driven content doesn't just make everyone feel nice - it's what actually sells, and makes you feel aligned with your business along the way, empowering you to show up even better for your clients.

Now, a decade after getting my first camera, we've alchemized all that learning into proven creative processes and content strategies. That’s the foundation of what we do - an openness to experiment and push for the kind of creative work that doesn’t just look good, but actually moves people through authentic storytelling.

Here’s a definition of “heretic” (since I had to Google it when I first heard it): “a person holding an opinion at odds with what is generally accepted.” As the company evolved, I began to notice that what I was building was consistently different (and, candidly, a way better experience) than what people expected from a “camera guy.”

The marketing mogul GaryVee has a controversial chapter in one of his books. The whole thing is one word: “CARE.”

That is what we do and that’s what makes us different - our presence.

I am personally driven to discover what makes your company unique, and what it means to the people who created it. Your unique story IS what makes you memorable, our company’s drive to uncover it is what makes us different. It’s my goal that you and your team feel this attentiveness at every step.

To me, that’s what’s actually most important, but rest assured (if it wasn’t clear from the rest of the website I have failed in epic fashion but I’ll say it one last time) that the photos and videos we craft will knock your freakin socks off and be something you’re absolutely thrilled to plug into your marketing.
